Ronald Grant graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's in business management and a master's degree in public administration. He is currently completing a doctoral degree in education administration, curriculum and supervision from the University of Oklahoma. He taught at a south Oklahoma City alternative school for four years. There, he realized his passion for working with students and encouraging them to pursue a higher education, so he continued his passion at a community college for a year as a recruiter. He has also had the privilege of serving as a business manager at an Oklahoma City charter school for four years. As the business manager, he gained experience with school finance. From there, he worked as an assistant principal for Oklahoma City Public Schools for two and a half years.
Mr. Grant is currently the finance chair for the Latino Community Development Agency. He is married to his college sweetheart and they have three sons.
Derek Hall, M.Ed.
Derek Hall has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and a master's in educational leadership from University of Central Oklahoma. Before joining ASTEC, he was a mathematics teacher for seven years at Del City High School. Recently, he was an assistant principal at Southeast High School.
Mr. Hall has lived in Oklahoma nearly his entire life. He is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys do-it-yourself and hands-on projects.
Lisa Seay has a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and in General Science from Oklahoma City University. She completed a masters degree in teaching, learning and leadership with a emphasis in science education from Oklahoma State University. Ms. Seay is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Oklahoma State University. She is also published in her field of research, which concerns the economic implications of Oklahoma teacher salaries.
Ms. Seay is certified in Secondary Administration, Secondary Biological Sciences and Secondary Physical Sciences. She also has an elementary administration certification is pending approval by the State Department of Education. She has been in education for 13 years, most recently for the Sand Springs, Oklahoma school system as a middle school engineering teacher and leader. She is a member of Oklahoma Museum Network Teacher Advisory Board American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Teacher Member Pi Theta Lambda and the Honorary Education Fraternity Phi Kappa Phi, Honor Society.
Melissa Crouch graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a bachelors degree in biology and minor in chemistry. She also has a masters degree in microbiology and immunology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has served as an honor society advisor and adjunct professor of human physiology, microbiology, sociology and psychology at Redlands Community College. She has also helped students in the Student Support Services (SSS) programs at University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City. SSS programs serve students who meet one of the following criteria: they are the first person in their family to attend college, are low income, or disabled.
Brad Finlason has been working in the maintenance field for over 40 years, from digging ditches to building houses in California. Before moving to Oklahoma, he worked in maintenance at the San Jose Jet Center. In 2004, he moved to Oklahoma and started working at Oklahoma City Community College.
Mr. Finalson is married and has a son. In his spare time, he enjoys baseball, jet skies and motorcycles.
Taylor Jordan graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's in human nutrition. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in elementary education from Oklahoma City University. She is also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She comes to ASTEC with a background in working with learning-disabled children and has helped to create an integrated learning system tailored to each child.
Ms. Jordan enjoys reading, attending concerts and playing with her beloved pup, Aspen.
Jason Nwisienyi was born in Texas and raised in Dallas. He received his associate degree from North Lake College in Irving, TX and a bachelor's degree from Mid-American Christian University in Oklahoma City, OK. He has experience in the coaching field working with 7th grade middle school boys' basketball teams as well as volunteering with Team Griffin, an amateur sports organization, theAmateur Athletic Union (AAU) created by former University of Oklahoma player Blake Griffin.
Mr. Nwisienyi's hobbies include watching sporting events and spending time with his fiancée and daughter.
Edgar Saravia was born in California but reared in Oklahoma. He is proud to be called an Oklahoman. Mr. Saravia proudly graduated from ASTEC Charter High School, class of 2012, with honors. He managed the collection, receipts and management of the school lunch program and asset management. He is attending college to pursue a degree in law. Edgar believes education is a must, not an option.
Edward Smith graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelors degree and a masters with honors from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mr. Smith began his career in education in 2003 as a substitute teacher. He has since worked in adult education, secondary education, and university education.
He has published two chapters from his thesis in the American Review of China Studies and the Journal of Chinese Military History. He has presented research at the University of Central Oklahoma and the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society War College.
Justin Temple attended Fort Hays State University, where he received his bachelors in information networking and telecommunications. He is pursuing a masters in liberal studies with a concentration in management information systems. He has been in the information technology field since 201, mostly in the transport sector. He configured routers, switches, wireless access points, and other networking devices. He has a strong background in Linux and Windows.
Mr. Temple is originally from Kansas, but moved to Oklahoma in 2016. He is married and owns five cats and two dogs. He enjoys playing guitar and video games.
