Christy Hanna

Christy Hanna earned her associates degree in liberal arts from Oklahoma City Community College in 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History Education from University of Central Oklahoma in 2012. Ms. Hanna is certified in social studies, psychology, sociology, and French. She has been in the teaching profession for two years. After completing student teaching in 2011 at Capps Middle School, she worked one semester as a Title I Aide in remedial 6th grade reading. Ms. Hanna completed her first year of teaching at Piedmont Middle School where she taught 7th grade geography and 8th grade U.S. History. She has been a substitute teacher at ASTEC and worked with both middle and high school students. While substituting at ASTEC, she substituted in a special education Pre-K class in Oklahoma City Public Schools. Ms. Hanna has lived in Oklahoma most of her life.

Since 2009, she has been a member of the Gamma Omega chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society for educators, the Gamma Omega Chapter of KDP at UCO. There, she served as the student council senator and then Student Council President. Aside from teaching, Ms. Hanna’s other passions are faith, family, travel, cooking, history, and languages.

Steven Hudec

Latin

Steven Hudec

Steven Hudec is a National Merit Scholar from Post Falls High School in Northern Idaho. He studied at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Writing, with minors in Latin and psychology. During his time at OU, he was able to spend a summer studying Shakespeare at the University of Oxford, to participate in a cultural exchange program in Russia, and to help abused and neglected children in Nicaragua. Steven previously worked as a substitute teacher for Norman Public Schools. He is proud to be a Comet and enjoys basketball, superheroes, musical theater, and of course, the study of Classics. Bailey Lowe

Bailey Lowe

Bailey Lowe received a bachelor's degree in Art & Design from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She has been an art teacher and guest artist for multiple organizations that educate people with special needs. 

She is married to her husband Jeremy. When she is not at work, she enjoys crafting, reading and spending time on her family's farm in Jones, Oklahoma.

Jacob Miller

Athletics Director

Jacob Miller

Jacob Miller is a Glenville State College graduate will serve as ASTEC Charter Schools Athletics Director, Head Boys' and Girls' High School Basketball Coach, Head Boys' and Girls' Middle School Basketball Coach. He’s also a national basketball scout for Mullen Sports, licensed USA basketball youth development coach and founder/owner of Breakthrough Sports Services.

During his collegiate career, Coach Miller was a 4-year basketball letterman for Salem International University and Glenville State College. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Over the past 3 years, Coach Miller has helped place over 30 post-graduate players into universities & colleges all over the country.

Coach Miller is a native of West Virginia and enjoys spending time traveling the country, camping and being with his fiancé Kyra and their dog Yogi.

Jacqulyn Norton

Jackie Norton is a graduate of Chickasha High School and earned a degree in physical education from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO). She loves to teach and help scholars not only academically, but help them discover talents and abilities within themselves.

Justin Perkins

Justin Perkins

Justin Perkins received a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in history. He has been an educator at ASTEC for 3 years, teaching 6th Grade technology. During the 2012-2013 school year, he was honored as ASTEC Middle School Teacher of the Year. Mr. Perkins is proud and honored to be a part of the high school teaching computer media, yearbook & project management. His overall goal is to continue teaching and later open a children's museum. He loves playing with his dog, spending time with his family and friends and teaching.

Jill Shore

Health and Wellness

Jill Shore

Jill Shore has a bachelor’s of science in Exercise Sports Science with a concentration in Fitness & Wellness from Texas Tech. She earned her master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise and Sports Science & Health Promotion.She worked a civilian for the US Air Force overseeing the Fitness Program and was been able to travel the world.

In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family, swimming, reading, and getting pedicures. She is also an avid San Antonio Spurs fan.
