ASTEC strives to create an environment that fosters learning and the most important part of that environment is our scholars. We believe our parents, patrons and scholars know best, the expectations of ASTEC and our learning environment. If you have family members, neighbors, or friends from your community you feel would enjoy ASTEC's rigorous, challenging content and our focus on community and character education, please direct them to our links below. We are currently enrolling students for 6 th - 12 th grades.


A few facts about ASTEC you may not know:

  1. ASTEC is a safe, tuition-free charter middle and high school serving students grades 6 to 12.

  2. ASTEC students have technology classes as a core subject.

  3. Technology is in EVERY classroom.

  4. The ASTEC experiential, hands-on teaching model means less take-home work for students.

  5. Scholars work in groups, allowing for peer feedback and development of communication skills.

  6. ASTEC is committed to student wellness and health.

  7. The ASTEC core concepts of Content, Character, Competency and Community are embedded in the curriculum, modeled by faculty and rewarded in students.

  8. State-of-the-art science labs allow students to perform experiments and learn science integrated with math and reading.

  9. Students have a personalized learning model which prepares students for the workforce while they learn.
