Families new to ASTEC interested in enrolling their children for the 2025-2026 academic year must complete and submit a quick form by midnight on February 28, 2025. - Enrollment Lottery Deadline: February 28, 2025 (midnight) – Time is running out! Apply today!
- Lottery Drawing: March 1, 2025 (6:00 PM)
- Results Posted: March 2, 2025 (noon) on ASTEC's website and Facebook page (ASTEC posts numbers in place of names for privacy.
- Lottery Parents Notified: March 5, 2025 (4:00 PM)
- Open Enrollment Begins: March 1
- Enrollment Night Event: March 11, 2025 – Save the date! More details to follow soon.
ASTEC's open enrollment will begin immediately after the lottery on March 1. While some classes may have a waiting list, most will have available spots. After the lottery, in the grade levels that are at capacity, applicants will be placed on a waiting list in the order received and are notified when a spot becomes available. ASTEC will continue accepting enrollment forms for classes with openings.
ASTEC Charter Schools Celebrates 25 Years
Founded in 2000 by Dr. Freda Deskin, ASTEC (Advanced Science and Technology Education Charter) became Oklahoma's first start-up charter school. What began as a middle school with just 100 scholars has grown into a thriving educational institution serving PreK through 12th grade with over 1,300 students in the heart of Oklahoma City. The year 2025 marks 25 years of innovative STEAM education.
